Volunteer Event at Bike Around the Bay

Managing Member of RJ Alexander Law PLLC, Reshard Alexander, Esq., MBA, LL.M., will be volunteering at the Bike Around the Bay event on Saturday, October 18th. This event is entering its’ eighth year and benefits the Galveston Bay Foundation. The Greater Metropolitan Houston area has a very rich and diverse ecological system that is monitored by the Galveston Bay Foundation. Protecting the environment and leaving a healthier world tomorrow to today’s children are very important ideals to the firm and Mr. Alexander. In addition, to volunteering at this event, Attorney Alexander, is a member of CAST, the Galveston Bay Foundation’s young professionals group.

Rethinking Bicycle Safety

According to a recent study the Houston Chronicle, over 23 bicycle riders were killed in Houston bicycle accidents in the past five years. Only four of those deaths resulted in criminal charges. Situations such as this, where less than a quarter of bicycle deaths, bring about some sort of punitive justice at the hands of our criminal justice system signify to both Houston bicycle riders and motorists alike that the value of a cyclist’s life is held in small regard on the hot and humid streets of Houston.
